Nikolai will assign 4 of the crossbowmen to search the fort and take stock.
'civilians'
Ignatz - older human male, Kendall's scribe. Is a non-combatant, the crossbowman who found him was amused that when he kicked open the door Ignatz grabbed a pen and wielded it as some semblance of a dagger, when a perfectly serviceable mace was sitting on the desk. When asked to surrender, he responded 'oh, yes, please. Thank you'.
Carvel - older human male, scholar. Did manage to thump the first soldier through the door a fair blow with a staff, but only after the soldier knocked a pile of books over. Stated basically 'just let him know who is in charge now and leave my books alone'. Probably would have put up more of a fight if he hadn't quickly realized that escape wasn't an option.
'Bart' - gnome alchemist. Claims he doesn't need to surrender as he is not a soldier in the fort but a 'humble entrepreneur and mere contractor'. Was quite condescending to the soldier who rounded him up and warned him, 'not to touch anything you back-water twat, this is science your metal-bound brain couldn't possibly understand'. Soldier (Oleg) really, really, really wants permission to hurt him just a little bit.
Complicated
Rothan - high elf. Has the highest rank of those remaining. Six of the soldiers, though Amareth, came with and follow him. Those six are causing Nikolai a bit of a conundrum, as while they aren't initiating hostilities (and in fact helped put an end to the hostilities), they also aren't laying down weapons. Two of the six are half-elves - Erumollien and Adan. The other four are human - Brion, Deneb, Geoff, and Oscar.
Orban - alive but unconscious.
Surrendered Amareth Soldiers -
Of which you have an additional 15, all human males. The last 11 are the most recent unit to come to the fort and have been there only two months (the man Orban killed was part of their unit). Rothan's men have been about three months, and the other 9 have been at the fort about 4 months. -
